Mary passed away peacefully in her sleep 25 hours before her 89th birthday. Mary and husband Gerry moved from Victoria to Courtenay and immediately became active in the Courtenay Legion.

Mary's passion was sewing barbie doll clothes and quilting. She donated many handmade quilts to charities for fundraising. She also was very generous in giving quilts away. If she felt you needed a quilt you got one (or two).

Mary's spirit was with her to her final day. She spent the last 3 months in the hospital, where she would walk the halls to give out cookies, quilts and barbie doll clothes to staff and patients.

Predecease by her husband Gerry Dundass. Survived by her daughters; Rose (Bob) Mundle, Dianne (Cliff) Cromack. Grandchildren; Rolene Mundle, Taylor, Rhys and Leigh Cromack. Nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

We will be celebrating a life well lived on February 18, 2018 at 1 pm at the Courtenay Legion.
