December 6, 1936 - November 23, 2020
My dear Mom, Mary, passed away peacefully with me at her bedside in the early morning of Mon. Nov. 23rd at The Views at St. Joseph's in Comox, BC after a long fight with Alzheimer's and vascular dementia.
She was born in Campbellton, NB to the late Orville Miller and Opal Pritchard of Dalhousie, NB.
She was predeceased by her husband Alfred and youngest son Brian.
Mary is survived by her son Tim, grandson Chris, granddaughter Erinn, grandson Matthew, great granddaughter Ayla, great grandson Jacob and half-sibling Donnie.
She was a dedicated military spouse who never minded being moved from base to base, when told they were moving she would reply "Here today gone tomorrow" with a laugh.
Although short in stature she had the spirit and feistiness of a super-giant and always reached out to help those in need. Mom treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. Mom was loved by everyone who knew her and will be missed by many.
Special thanks to Dr. Marcus Langhans and all the staff at The Views at St. Joseph's for their wonderful loving care, for which I will always be grateful. Due to COVID a service and internment will take place at a date yet TBD at Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
