September 20, 2020
It is with profound sadness that we write of the passing of Mary Ann McCrory at the age of 68 on September 20, 2020.
Mary Ann grew up in Windsor, Ontario in a loving household with parents Barbara and Mathias Hehn and older brother Ernie and younger sister Hilda.
Mary Ann got married on December 28, 1974 and moved to Vanderhoof with husband Tony who was teaching at Nechako Valley Secondary School.
First child Tony (Szandra) was born there in 1977. The young family moved back to Windsor in July 1978 and then moved back to Kitimat in January 1979. Daughter Marlees (Brad) was born in 1979 and son Scott (Jess) was born in 198. In September 1989, the family moved to Ladysmith.
Mary Ann always put others ahead of herself and only had positive things to say about others. In 2007 Mary Ann began a long struggle with MS, never letting it affect her spirit, positive outlook on life or sense of humor.
Mary Ann enjoyed walks, baking, gardening, flowers, watching her childrens events, visits from grandchildren Violet and Layla and just being at home. Her kindness, love and strength will never be forgotten.
Special thanks to Dufferin Place for all of your kindness and help.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, please consider a donation to MS research.
Proverbs 31:28 Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also and he praises her.
