1938-2017
Marlene Doney passed away on July 30th
at Nanaimo Regional Hospital at the age of 79. Marlene was born in Saskatchewan and came to Duncan in 1944 with her Mother Anna and Father Art Quesnel. She grew up with 12 brother and sisters and is survived by her two sisters Denny Paddle and Pauline Brenton (Maurice). Marlene is predeceased by her first husband of 25 years Don Doney, as well as her partner later in life of 25 years, John Justin. She takes with her the love of her three children Dale, Diana and Cheryl. And the joy of her grandchildren Jeremy (Trinity) and Luke(Miranda),Hailey and Jody as well her great grandchildren Golden, River, Alyse, Jaida and Blake. Marlene had many good friends and was an active member of the Eagles for many years. She loved to laugh and have fun and was always the life of the party. She was also an excellent seamstress who loved to make clothes for her children and friends. She will be greatly missed by all her family and as well those who knew her and loved her.
Celebration of life will be held at the Eagles in Duncan on Saturday August 12th at 1pm 2965 Boys Rd Duncan BC
