The family of Marjorie Houseman (Bette Ross) are sad to say Bette passed away August 28 at the age of 97 in Comox Valley Hospital following surgery.
Bette was born in Vancouver to John W. Ross and Mabel G. Hodson and later lived on the Island and 100 Mile area most of her life thru ups and downs. She was a loving mother, an artist, wrote poetry, enjoyed life with a sense of humor and always believed in helping the less fortunate.
Bette was predeceased by daughter Susan Mueller nee Blain, son Daniel Harper, great grandchild Nathan Monaghan.
She leaves behind her sons William Monaghan (Toni), David Harper (Sarah), daughter Mary Gourley (Gary) 10 grandchildren she enjoyed and 15 great grandchildren and sister Barbara Christie.
Mom will forever be loved and missed. Rest in peace Mom. Sweet dreams!
