In Loving Memory ~
With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our mom, affectionately known as nana Go Go and great nana, Born April 6th 1927 in Ladysmith BC to August and Romania DeClark.
On May, 2023 she gained her angel wings and went to be with her husband Marcel, and her brothers Henry, Maurice and Juiius. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Lynn (Fred) and sons Cal (Norma) and Wes (Ruby) as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Marion grew up on DeClarks dairy farm and enjoyed participating in milk delivery with her family. She met the love of her life Mel at a dance and married in 1949. Prior to having her family, she worked as a hairdresser after opening her own shop in Ladysmith.
She was a long term member of the CWL. She enjoyed family events and was the life of the party, often getting everyone off their feet to dance.
She was a proud nana who loved her grandchildren, often sneaking down to Dairy Queen to buy them an ice cream treat Marion loved to draw and paint and took great pride in their beautiful outdoor garden space, where you could often find her sitting outside listening to the birds sing. She enjoyed participating in many activities such as golf and line-dancing.
Marion was a top top-notch prankster never missing the opportunity to pull a great prank. She loved April fools and always had a few pranks up her sleeve. We will certainly miss "goofing around" with her.
She was a kind and thoughtful person, who would do anything to help a person in need,
Heartfelt thanks to the dedicated staff of Oyster Harbour Care Home, and the CWL for visiting mom often.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church in Ladysmith on May 29th, 2023 at 11:00 am.
