February 27, 1950 - July 29, 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Marion Fisher announce her sudden passing after a short fight with cancer.
She is predeceased by her father Harry Nelson.
Marion will be greatly missed by her husband of 48 years Gordon, her sons Brad and Greg (Jolie). Also missed by her mother Ellen Nelson, brother Dan (Wendy), sister Elaine (Rob), sister-in-law Karen and her nieces and nephews.
Marion began her career as an RN at St. Joseph's hospital in Comox in 1972. After their marriage in 1973 they moved to Nanaimo where she continued her nursing in the hospital there while Gord attended college.
After, they spent time in the Nass Valley and Marion became a stay home mom after Brad was born. Eventually they returned to the Comox Valley where they were to spend the rest of their marriage and both their boys were to be raised with close family around them. Marion returned to nursing at St. Joseph's hospital until her retirement.
Marion was a kind, thoughtful and giving person. She never forgot a birthday and always had a little gift to give. She was the one with the camera at every function and has many photo albums to show everyone. If you were to mention a family party, wedding or holiday, she would go to her book shelf and bring the exact album to show you. These will be treasured items for the family now and in the future.
You will be greatly missed Marion.
