It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Marion Alice Toombs on November 7, 2019 in Port Alberni, BC. Predeceased by her brothers Lloyd and Carl Cooke. Survived by her loving husband of 63 years George Toombs; daughter George Ann Banes; grandchildren Maya and Zerek Banes and sister Betty Lou Huskins as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Marion was born in Nova Scotia which is where she met her husband George. They were married in 1956, and three years later they found their way to Port Alberni. Marion loved to cook and sew. She was known for creating many of her daughter's outfits.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Thursday, November 21, at 1:00 pm at the Alberni Valley United Church 3747 Church St, Port Alberni, BC.
Floral tributes in Marion's memory are welcomed by the family.
