Marilyn travelled extensively in the UK and continental Europe and enjoyed many cruises with friends. Leslie and Marilyn had an enduring commitment to Sydenham United Church Brantford. Mom came out to BC for a visit in the fall of 2016 and suffered a health crisis which left her in hospital for many months, but she was able to stabilize, and resided happily at Dufferin Place for the past year, making many new friends.

Thanks to the staff of the ICU and the renal unit at NRGH for their compassion and caring. We also extend our thanks to the staff of Dufferin Place, especially the Arbutus unit, where she faithfully played the pink flamingo "Macarena" whenever she walked by.

Service will be held at a later date in Brantford. Memorial donations can be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
