Marilyn Ann Bryan, age 85, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening May 24, 2022 at Trillion Hospice House in Parksville.
Marilyn was born September 9,1936 in Vernon BC, later moving to Vancouver Island where she was raised, graduating from Ladysmith High School.
This amazing lady was a highly regarded professional in the theatre, music and dance prior to devoting herself to raising her daughters. Marilyn was also well known for her passion and incredible talent of the arts, creating the most intricate & beautiful porcelain dolls.
She was a woman with a great sense of humour and quick wit, loved by many and therefore had a number of friends of all ages.
On February 2, 2004, Marilyn was widowed by her loving and devoted husband Richard Kenneth Bryan.
This very loved mother will be deeply missed by her 3 daughters, Glenda Castelsky & Harvey Toms (husband) of Port Alberni, Shelley & Jack Derish (husband) of Nanoose, and Gaylene Salina of Victoria.
Together with her 6 grandchildren - Brook, Dustin, Tureema, Cherece, Brandi, Colten and their families - including soon to be 10 great-grandchildren.
Marilyn was dearly loved and predeceased by her brother, father, mother, and nephew, she will be missed by many nieces, cousins and stepchildren.
Marilyn left Port Alberni in 2014 to reside at Origin's Independent Living in Nanaimo, where she continued to make many more friends.
Her daughters will be forever grateful for the wonderful lifestyle, community environment and inclusiveness that their mother enjoyed, together with her ever so special cat named "Pixie".
Marilyn and her daughters are truly grateful for the amazing care and kindness she received from her devoted physician - Dr. Dodo and the nurses and staff at Trillium Hospice.
Thank you for being our mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a loyal friend.
You will be deeply missed by many, but never be forgotten .
