Peacefully in her sleep the ever lovely Maria Jensen took her final bow on October 18/2018 in Qualicum. When the portal opened she swept through with the same grace, courage and dignity with which she lived her long life. She was 95.

She lived through the war in Europe surviving in the very center of the storm when the Germans invaded her country. She was 16 and just beginning her studies to become a nurse when she was forced to work in dangerous munitions factories and spent her tender years experiencing and witnessing the unspeakable horrors of war.

Eventually she arrived in Canada at 25 where in Rossland she met, fell in love and married her husband Eger. They spent 62 very active years together happily raising their two children.

She spent her entire working life in nursing and countless patients benefited from her tender care. After retirement they together built a new home overlooking the ocean in Bowser where between their world travels they enjoyed their magnificent view for 36 years.

Maria was a very beautiful, strong, independent woman, a loyal friend, a devoted mother and blessed with a playful generous spirit. She will be forever missed by those who loved her.

She is survived by her brothers Ted Kaiser and his wife Julia, a sister and many nephews and nieces still in Europeher, sister-in-law Jean Gresely- Jones and sons Ken, Chris and Shawn, her devoted son Ralph Jensen and his partner Carole Whyte, her loving daughter Azzah Irene Jensen and her beloved granddaughter Muna Tayour, who is blessed to have inherited all her best qualities.

Sweet dreams Mummy. You were Glorious.
