Mary was born June 27th, 1925 in Stanley Manitoba and died October 4th 2018 Duncan BC.

She was the truly beloved Mother of her daughter Barabee. Mom also had two sons Donald and Kurt.

She was the daughter of William and Agatha Schlotthauer and came from a family of six children, 5 daughters and 1 son. She had a very close and loving relationship with her Mother.

She was predeceased by her husband Patrick Quigley in 2003 after spending almost 60 years in marriage.

Mom held various jobs in her life, the most important one was being an unconditionally loving mother to her 3 children Donald, Barabee, and Kurt.

Mom was a loving and interested grandma also to her 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mom was a good sport and loved to have fun, for instance there is a picture of Mom on the back of Kurt's motorcycle when she wanted to go for a "spin." Mom loved music and one of her favorite songs was "YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE." She and the staff at the facility would sing it together. Mom loved children and they brought her joy whenever they were around. Mom liked dogs and cats. Barabee wishes to thank her husband Ken for his presence and support he gave her Mother over many years. Thank you to our son Brent and his wife Carla who visited faithfully each day with his Grandma and us. Thank you to our daughter Kendra who travelled from Nova Scotia to support and be with her parents at this time. Barabee and Ken would like to thank the Family Council, especially Chairperson Jeannette. She worked very hard for the council and spent considerable time with Mom and us. Thank you to Jas for supporting us with visits. Thank you to all others who came by to pay respects to mom especially LPN Brenda.

Mom and Dad were part of the Duncan United Church family after they moved to BC from Winnipeg in retirement.

We would like to thank D.U.C family, Prayer Chain, and Pastoral Care Ministry. Thank you to the Circle of Friends, for the gift of the prayer shawl which covered Mom as she journeyed to the end of her life. Thank you Minister Keith, for the anointing and prayer, and Parish Nurse Cathy for support. Thank you Pastor Norm for prayer with Barabee and Mom. Barabee believes that all the prayers raised gave her Mom peace and comfort throughout her journey and dying.

PRAISE AND GLORY BE TO GOD!
