Passed away peacefully at "The Views", on Saturday, August 29th, 2020, aged 91. She is survived and will be dearly missed by her daughter, Maria de Fatima (Amandio Santas); son Jose Pedro (Oliveira "Rose"); grandchildren Elisabeth, Peter and Jennifer, as well as 5 great grandchildren. Maria will be remembered for all things good; a loving, caring person, always there to help everyone, giving, and also offering prayers for everyone, all day, every day. Her family wishes to thank all of the staff at the Views for their kindness and contact support; for taking care of her and giving her lots of love.
"We are humbled by the care and compassion shown to us by all of you, at Oceanview. My mother's passing was one of love and peace. We thank you for making this last memory of her, one of dignity and grace." Special appreciation to Dr. Susan Hunter as well as Cindy and Jackie.
Prayers were offered on Wednesday, September 2nd from Comox Valley Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre, 1101 Ryan Road, with Mass of Christian Burial Celebrated by Father David Hogman taking place at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, September 4th.
