Margot Mirren Carwithen

December 5, 1921 – December 19, 2019
Mom passed away December 19, 2019 at the Views at St. Josephs hospital at the age of98. She was born Margot Mirren Robertson in LeDuc, Alberta. She met and married William (Bill) Swan in Edmonton during the war. They moved to the Comox Valley in 1945 and started their family. Margot and Bill had 2 sons but sadly mom became a widow in 1960.
Margot started a career working for BC Hydro in 1960. It was there she met Len Flack and they married in 1967. Len and Margot retired and spent a decade of winters in Arizona living the snowbird life. Len passed away in 1987.
Mom met and married Malcolm Carwithen in 1989. They were together for 17 years before Malcolm passed away in 2006. Mom then moved into Berwick where she spent 10 years with many fond memories.
Margot is survived by her sons, Nonn(Linda)Swan, Ian (Elizabeth) Swan, her grandchildren; Kelly, Brandon, Edmund and Grant, great grandchildren; Madeline, Eveyln, James and new baby Swan. Her nephews Dale, Keith and niece Jane as well as many in her extended families. Mom lived her long life to the fullest and will be missed by all.
The family is grateful for the wonderful care Margot received at the Views in her last year. A family
celebration will be held at a later date.Obituary
