Margo E. Beaven passed away suddenly at the family home on May 7th, 2019 at the age of 64 years.
Margo is predeceased by her Father Bertram Beaven. Margo is survived by her mother Jean Beaven and her older brother Ed and younger brother Rick Beaven, further survived by her Aunt Dolly, Aunt Evelyn, Uncle Fred, Cousin Belinda, and many other cousins, nieces and nephews.
Margo graduated Delta Secondary school and later went on to get a Masters of Theology degree at Wolfville, Nova Scotia. Margo went on several long mission trips and served in San Paulo, Brazil and Kenya in East Africa, but continued to call Canada home returning to Calgary where she resided for many years. One of her favorite things was working security each year for the Calgary Stampede.
In 2012 Margo moved to Nanaimo back to the family home where she began to look after her ailing parents with the help of her brothers, until her recent passing.
Margo will be remembered as a very independent woman who loved her solitude. An avid reader, she also enjoyed many afternoons playing crib at the Mt. Benson Legion. As Margo lived a simple lifestyle, and wrote in her journal that looking after Mom gave her life purpose, we believe that she would not have wanted a funeral service but that her wish would be that her estate be used for the welfare and care of her Mom currently in a Care facility. As a Member of the Stz'uminus Band, we will honour her passing and spread her ashes at Shell Beach cemetery at a later date.
