The family announces the passing of Margaret Rose Rutledge. Margaret is the eldest daughter of Leo and Bella Rogers, one of the original pioneer families of Fanny Bay, BC.
Margaret is predeceased by her brother Andrew (1962); husband, Jack (2003); grand-daughter Susan Cramb (2014) and daughter Diana Waterman (2016). Margaret is survived by her sister Elaine Tinckler; granddaughter Lisa Latham (Dave) and great-granddaughters, Miaya and Sarah Cramb and Angela Latham including many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Margaret lived in Fanny Bay for over 80 years until she moved in August 2019 to Casa Loma Seniors Village. Margaret was a life-time member of the Union Bay Chapter of the Pythian Sisters of which she thoroughly looked forward to the twice monthly meetings.
After Jack's retirement, they travelled to many places and one place that she thoroughly enjoyed was New Zealand and reconnecting with her mother's side of the family for whom she corresponded with on a regular basis.
The family wishes to give thanks to the staff of Casa Loma for the wonderful support and care given to Margaret.
There will be no service. Please remember Margaret's life and celebrate in your own way. Donations may be made in her name to a charity of your choice.
