It is with profound sadness that we said goodbye to an amazing mother, wife, nana, sister, aunt and friend. Naomi passed away in White Rock after a short but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
She lived a fulfilling life as a mother to three children (Darwin, Leanne and Jason), an ever-present nana to five grandchildren (Taylor, Anna, Noah, Maya and Shane), a caring sister to three brothers (Art, Wally and Ken), and a loving wife of 65 years to her husband Doug.
Naomi had a genuine passion for life. She brought a positive energy to every occasion and will be remembered for her spontaneous nature. Naomi had a successful teaching career and enjoyed traveling and meeting new people. She welcomed any adventure that came her way and loved engaging in conversation, always telling it like it was.
When asked how she wanted to be remembered, Naomi replied, "as a nana who loved all of her family dearly and told them so at every opportunity."
