Lorraine Violet Gardener passed away early morning on July 16, 2019 in Oyster Harbour Seniors Community in Ladysmith B.C., at the age of 95.
Born Dec 18, 1923 in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, married 14 March, 1944 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, raised her family in Calgary Alberta, and retired to Ladysmith BC.
She is survived by Stanley Gardener, her loving husband of 75 years, her two sons David (his wife Carol), and Jim (his wife Moira), her grandson Paul (wife Nicola), her granddaughter Jennifer (husband Ryan) and great- grand-children Shiloh and R.J.
A quiet family gathering at graveside will be held in honour of her memory. They find peace in the fact, "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." For those who wish to honour Lorraine's memory donations to the Salvation Army are gratefully accepted, in lieu of flowers.
