Lloyd Gerald O'Brien passed away peacefully on September 3, 2022, after his long battle with cancer.
Lloyd leaves behind his wife Sheri and children Brady and Sarah.
He was predeceased by his mother Beatrice, in 2019 and his father, Jack, who passed away peacefully on September 30th, 2022.
He is left to mourn by his siblings Judy, Michael, Joe, Patrick, and Maureen, his loving in-laws Bill and Darlene Creighton, sister-in-law Jennifer and several nieces and nephews and the many friends he made over the years.
Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at NRGH Chemotherapy Care Centre and Palliative Care Unit and our GP Dr. Dodo.
There will be a drop in Celebration of Life at the Nanaimo Golf Course on November 13th from 1pm to 4pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to a bursary which has been set up in Lloyd's name to be given each year to a graduating grade 12 student who previously attended Uplands Park Elementary School where Lloyd spent the majority of his career as a teacher.
These donations can be made payable to Nanaimo Ladysmith Schools Foundation and collected at the Celebration of Life.
