It is with great sadness that the family of Linden Melvin Craig Baglo announces his passing on January 06, 2019 at the tender age of 8, as the result of an accident while out riding his bicycle with his sister and best friend, Shelby.
Linden was a boy that was happy, caring, friendly, loving and had a great sense of humour. He loved playing soccer, doing the floss dance, mimicking a number of accents and playing video games with his cousins. He had a huge heart -- illustrated when he was once given five dollars to spend at a family garage sale and returned with a carpet cleaner for his Mom rather than buying things for himself.
Mourning his loss are mother Jennifer Mitchell (Garrett Van Vaals); Father Kalen Baglo (Shannon Bennie) and his sister Shelby. Also mourning are Grandparents - Cheryl Baglo, Barb and Glen Parkin, George and Jennifer Mitchell, Debbie and Gerry Van Vaals, and Anne and Don Bennie. Predeceased by Grandparents Craig Baglo and Sue Mitchell.
He is remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and step siblings as well as his classmates, friends, teachers and staff at Rock City School.
A service will be held at the Nanaimo Conference Center on Sunday, January 20, 2019 in the Benson room at 1 pm. The service will be open to the public, however media will not be admitted and security will be on site.
The family wishes to convey their sincere gratitude to the paramedics, RCMP, Victim Services (Jocelyn), NRGH's Dr Peter MacDougall, the ER team and social workers that assisted both Linden and the family.
The family would like to also send heartfelt thanks to the bystanders who offered assistance before the First Responders arrived on scene.
In lieu of flowers there will be a box for personal letters and cards if people wish to do so.
The love and support from the community has been overwhelming and greatly appreciated.
