We regret the passing of our loved one, Leo LeBlanc. A kind and gentle man. He passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

Leo is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara. They had five children Denie (Heather), Lynne (George), Louise Schnurch, Andrea Wagner (Ryan) and Roger. He also loved his ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Born in Nova Scotia of an Acadian family of 11 children, he joined the Air Force at the age of 17. This gave him the opportunity to work across Canada, eventually settling in the Comox Valley. His second career was carpentry and the owner of Frelone's Grocery in Cumberland.

Leo was a jack of all trades and you could always count on him to lend a hand when needed. He was a proud volunteer and member of the Cumberland Fire Department for 25 years. He continued his service to the community as a volunteer for the Fire Safety House until his passing.

Leo was a member of the Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and was an avid fruit and vegetable gardener. Leo and Barbara always opened their home to friends and family and greatly enjoyed their company.

A funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday November 2nd, 2018, at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church. If so desired, donations in Leo's memory can be made to YANA.
