It is with great sadness that Lee's family announces her passing on October 4, 2018 in Port Alberni after a brief illness.

Lee was born in Port Alberni on December 15, 1946 to Robert (Bob) White and Doris White, the eldest of four children. Lee was predeceased by her parents, her husband Chris Rainey, her sister Robin and sister-in-law Anne. She is survived by her stepson Richard Rainey (Sharon), sister Carol Burton (Reg), brother Glen White, brother-in-law, Pete, sister in law Roz and by an extended family of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends around the world.

Raised in Port Alberni before relocating to the Lower Mainland, she was an accomplished elementary school teacher in Langley before retiring with her late husband Chris to Qualicum Beach in the late 1980's, where she continued to live until her passing.

Lee had many passions in life. She had a keen, inquisitive mind and loved good music, great films, any book, and anything that made her laugh. Lee was gifted with a remarkable eye for art, style and decor. Her homes were always wonderfully decorated. And she had a lifelong love of travel, and later in life spent many happy weeks and months in Palm Springs and England.

Lee was deeply loved by all of us, and will be greatly missed.

A High Tea celebrating Lee's life will be held at 1:30 pm on December 1, 2018 at the Royal Canadian Legion, 180 Veterans Way in Qualicum Beach.

Friends wishing to make a donation in Lee's memory are encouraged to consider The Brown Property Preservation Society in Qualicum Beach, whose work was dear to Lee's heart.
