It is with great sorrow that the family of Laurie Mae Cooper announces her passing on March 26th, 2022 at the age of 63.
Laurie will be sadly missed by her sister, Jamie, and her two nieces, Samantha and Lindsay.
She will be lovingly remembered by her partner and best friend, Ed Hardonk, who by her side gave her the love, strength and courage to fight her battle.
As the middle daughter born to Christina and Gordon Cooper, between Linda, the eldest, and her younger sister Jamie, Laurie always insisted to be "The Middle and Most Charming". She will leave a void within us all that was once filled with her "Charm" and laughter.
Lauries family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Deanne at V.I.H.A., as they would not have been able to navigate this journey without her compassion and support. They would also like to thank the healthcare professionals, palliative care team, pharmacy staff and all the individuals who made it possible to keep Laurie comfortable at home, with her family by her side, until the end.
Ed, Jamie and Samantha were honoured to fullfill Lauries last wish. Her wish to pass away peacefully in her home with the three of them by her side.
