August 8, 1938 - November 4, 2020
Laurin Richard Haines of Duncan, BC quietly passed away on November 4, 2020 after a valiant battle with Dementia at the age of 82. He was born to parents Arnold and Laura Haines, August 8, 1938 in Calgary, Alberta.
Laurin graduated from University of Alberta with a degree in Electrical Engineering ultimately pursuing a rewarding career in the BC Forest Industry before retiring to Duncan, BC.
Laurin had a love for planes and received his private pilot license in 1980, among many of his personal accomplishments.
Laurin is survived by his wife, Aafien and children: David Haines, Debbie Duncan and Darlene Whiting, as well as grandchildren: Jennifer Toyota, Michelle Haines, Amanda Stewart, Jessica Duncan and Hillary Rondot. He is also survived by his sister Virginia Cummings of Victoria, BC.
