Larry was born on July 4, 1938 in La Union, Philippines. He grew up on a farm in a little town, Caba, La Union. He met his wife, Virginia in 1956 and they got married on October 27, 1959. Larry landed to a variety of jobs: from being a farmer, joining the Police team of Caba, La Union, a market collector/inspector. Larry was asked if he wants to work at the Central Bank of the Philippines. He was hesitant because he was only a High School graduate, however, he got talked into it to start as a janitor while upgrading his education. While upgrading his education, Larry was able to move up simultaneously from janitor to bookkeeper until he retired from an Accounting position at Central Bank of the Philippines. Besides working and getting paid, he also had a small businessowning a few tricycles and a few minibuses. At the age of 60, he retired and moved to Canada in 1998. Saturday mornings during the summer was his favorite day of the week in Canada. Larry loves to go garage selling. If not garage selling, you will see him in front of his computer playing his favorite card game, Solitaire. Larry was a devoted family man. If not at his paid job, he will be at home doing unwanted job around the house.
The family would like to thank all the health care staff at 3D and 3B of Campbell River General Hospital, who took such wonderful care of Larry.
A special thanks goes to Dr. Valmiki Veerapen for his care and concern.
At Larry's request, he will be taken back home to the Philippines for his final rest A Funeral service will be held on January 20, 2020 @ 11 am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church before taking him home to his final resting place.
