Laura Melody Ogden
With courage, dignity and grace, on the afternoon of November 3rd, 2017 in her 57th year, Laura reluctantly departed from the life and family she loved.
Beloved wife of James OGDEN, dear mother of Matthew (& Beth GARRETT), Scotti BAXTER (& Andrew), Emma (& Tom SIELUZYCKI) and Seamus (& Ashley SMITH), and spirited “Grams” of Sacha and Eileen OGDEN and Hazel BAXTER, who adored her brilliant smile and boundless presence. Daughter to the fiercely-loving Melody McLOUGHLIN (deceased) and Gord MARRATTO, sister to Scott MARRATTO (& Alexandra MORRISON) and Tracy FLEET (& Robert). She will be greatly missed by Cathie JACKSON and all her dear friends.
She will be gratefully remembered by all those whose lives she touched as Chaplain at the Halton Catholic School Board, as Facilitator at De La Salle Retreat Centre, as cofounder of the Emmaus Community, as a singer, and as matriarch at home and in her communities.

It was Laura’s wish that we invite and encourage children of all ages to attend these events to animate them with unabashed joy and spirit.
The family wishes to thank the Local Health Integration Network team, especially Nurse Tami YOUNG, the Juravinski team, especially Dr. Louise BORDELEAU and Laura’s physician Dr. Phyllis McCORD, all of whom cared for Laura with dignity and compassion.
In kindness, donations to Canadian Cancer Society Metastatic Breast Cancer Fund or Canadian Health Coalition, would be deeply appreciated by the family.
