Larry Duncan Bennie

Larry passed away at Deni House in Williams Lake, BC after a long battle with cancer, his mom and sister by his side.

Predeceased by his grandparents Roy & Eva Thexton and Duncan & Racheal Bennie, father Jack Bennie, uncles Arnold Bennie, Donald Bennie, Otto Damitz and Larry Thexton. Cousins Rob Damitz, Dawn-Marie Bennie and faithful companion Keeta.

Left with memories are his mother Jackie Bennie-Dear (Hal), sister Laurie Thompson (Bill), nephews; Colton and Carson Graham of whom he was so proud, aunties; Sylvia Damitz, Lois Bennie, Mona Minary, Shirley Thexton and uncle Terry Thexton. Cousins Daryl, Ron, Sandra, Rick, Cathy, Barb, Sue, Michael and Leah. Best friends Kent Milburn and JImmy Stockand.

Larry grew up in Cumberland playing basketball, skiing, hunting, fishing and going to school. Once graduated, he worked in the logging industry mainly living in Woss Lake where he would hike for hours with his dog Keeta. After leaving logging Larry’s wanderlust took him to many places in BC before settling in Williams Lake 3 years ago.
