1970-2020 ~ It is with a deep sense of sadness that we share the passing of Krista. Krista was born in Campbell River on June 1st, 1970. She is predeceased by her father Stu Meldrum.
After graduating with Southgate's class of 1989, Krista joined the Passages day program at CRADACL. She was a long time member of the Special Olympics participating in every sport she could. Her favorite sports were snowshoeing, bowling and swimming. In 2001, Krista won the BC Special Olympics "Spirit of Sport" athlete of the year award.
She will be deeply missed by her mother Jane, brother Jim, sister-in-law Allison, nephews Cameron and Owen, her cousins, family and friends, the many people who lovingly supported and cared for her, and the love of her life Hazen Meade.
