Kirsty Laura Gourlay - (Kirdy, Munchkin).
It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we announce the unexpected and sudden passing of our Kirsty - Mother, daughter, and sister on December 21, 2017.
Kirsty grew up here in Nanaimo, BC but later moved to Edmonton where she created a life for herself and her two boys. Kirsty put herself through school while working multiple jobs so she could provide a better life for her family.
Kirsty graduated with honours and began her path/journey dedicating herself to her patients in geriatric and end of life care. Kirsty's compassion for others was undeniable and she spent many years serving others before the love of her family and the ocean called her home.
Kirsty had a heart of gold and a kindness about her that brought peace to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Above her career her greatest loves in this world were her two boys and her beloved Sadie.
Kirsty was predeceased by her father Stu.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sons Johnathan and Jacob, mother Wendy, brother Kenydd (Kelly-Ann, Kesler) sister Pamela (Scott, Jordyn, Lucean), along with many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
Please join us on January 27th, 2018 at Telford's Funeral Home at 1 pm to celebrate the beautiful life of one who was taken far too soon.
Refreshments to follow at the Branch 10 Legion @ 4:00 pm.
