December 10, 1950 - October 11, 2020
Kenneth Roberts, age 69, of Courtenay, BC, passed away October 11th, 2020 at Nanaimo General Hospital surrounded by his family. Ken was born December 10th 1950 in Lantzville, British Columbia.
For many years, Ken worked in the logging industry, a successor to a bloodline in the Canadian Forestry division. On any given day you could find Ken out at the woodshed, splitting and stocking the pile, feeding the bok-boks (chicken) or driving the lawn-mower tractor around his property. His home always had a warm wood-stove stoked with yellow cedar and a bag of candy for his grandchildren.
Ken was known for his sense of adventure and his love for the outdoors. He is remembered for his love of music, his guitar, enjoying the sun, his Ford truck and Ray-ban sunglasses, laughing with his wife and long walks with his brown-dog, Jasmine.
Ken is survived by his wife, Dalee Roberts of Courtenay, BC, his daughter Candice of Vancouver, BC, his son Lucas and family of Campbell River, BC, (daughter in law Meaghan and grandchildren - Jasmyne, Stella and Jack) his daughter Corrina and family of Tucson, AZ, (grandchildren - Julia, Logan and Alana) his beautiful sister Susan Martin and family of Nanaimo, BC (niece Deanna and nephew Jamie) as well as his beloved cat, Leo Lightning Roberts.
Owing to the worldwide health crisis, an in person 'Celebration of Life' will be held-off until approximately June 2020. We welcome any and all who knew Ken to come break-bread, listen to his favorite music and share stories about their experiences with him.
