May 7, 2021
We are sad to announce that on May 7, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Kelly Elizabeth Urry (Port Alberni, British Columbia). Her 3 boys were there, holding her hand as she went for her walk with Jesus.
Kelly was born in 1968 to Finn and Lesley, she was a strong, happy, helping and loyal soul. She always had an ear and a hand for a family, friend or stranger in need. From an early age she studied with her father as he completed his counseling courses for the church, by doing she learned how to use those great tools support to many.
Over the years she peered counselled, and led support groups for kidney patients and adoption support in the community. Later Kelly completed her counselling skills with honours, this was a dream come true and she and her family were very proud of this accomplishment.
Kelly met her love of her life through a friend but didn't start dating Paul for a couple of years. When they got together it was a whirlwind relationship and they were engaged shortly, this shocked some close friends and family. But when you know it is right you know it's right.
They married and grew their love and family for 23 years. They were perfect for each other laughing and holding each other through the good and hard times. Kelly's happiest moments were spending time with her adoring husband Paul and her kids.
They were the light of her life and kept her going when her health declined. She would tell anyone who would listen about their hijinks and how proud she was of them.
Our dearest Kelly had many health issues during her life but that did not keep her down she chose to live and be happy. During this time the family would like to thank Dr Lund, Dr Jones, Dr Wier, Dr Carson and the team at the PA Dialysis Clinic for the care and understanding during her journey.
Kelly was predeceased by her Grandparents and Father Finn.
Kelly is survived by her Mother Lesley (Boie), Husband Paul, her adored boys (Shawn and Gunnar), Brother Roy (Jody), Sister Shannon (Ken), Uncle Bob, and Uncle Alan. Kelly also leaves behind a large extended family that are also grieving for her passing.
A service will be held at a later date. If you would like to do a donation in Kelly's name it can be made to Mid Island Kidney Association.
