Keith Thomas Mantle WARE

June 7, 1933 – October 27, 2021
Keith was born in the beautiful Comox Valley, at St. Josephs Hospital and passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, in the area he loved most – Dove Creek.
A true family man, he is survived by his loving wife of 66 plus years, Evelyn, who he met 69 years ago at the Union Bay Dance Hall.
Also their 4 children, Donna (Steve), Gordon, Sharon (Randy), and Rodney.
Their 5 Grandchildren, Chad, Leah, Matthew, Katelyn and Justin, and 9 great grandchildren, Kaia, Kali, Eve, Kristy, Pippa, Bo, Sofia, Lucas and Finn.
Also his 2 sisters Trixie Bartlett (Ware), and Alinda Ware.
Keith spent his working career in Forestry in the Mechanical Services and Management with BCFP/ Fletcher Challenge, and sales for Madill Equipment.
When people thought of Keith, they thought of a man who worked hard and lived life to it’s fullest, with a wonderful sense of humor, a smiling face and a kind word. He was sweet, compassionate, generous and a ‘true gentleman’.
Totally Devoted to his wife, family and friends.
His doctor commented that they don’t make them like that anymore.
He accomplished much in his 88 years. With a deep love for the land, there were not many idle moments in his life. He spent much of his time building homes, landscaping and gardening, and as a result of his hard work he not only shaped the land that he loved, but the people also. He imparted wisdom and demonstrated selflessness in everything he did. He reached many lives, and provided the way for his family’s dreams to come true.
If you are out on the One Spot Trails, be sure to walk through and rest on the bench at ‘Keith Ware Park’.
On behalf of the family, we want to thank all the Medical Care staff that assisted at the end of this wonderful mans life.Obituary
