Keith passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 3, 2021 at the age of 87.
Predeceased by the love of his life Cecile Banfield and beloved daughter Shelley Frechette. He will be deeply missed by his son Dan Banfield (Sandi), daughter Cathy Ryles (Mike), grandchildren; Danielle Frechette, Trent Frechette, Shayna Weber, Janelle Ryles, Jen Banfield, Hunter Banfield, and 5 great grandchildren.
Keith had a wonderful career as sales manager at the Plywood Plant here in Port Alberni where he made many life long friends.
He enjoyed hunting, fly fishing, blackberry & mushroom picking, gardening, and most importantly spending time with his family and friends. Keith met with the same group of friends every morning for coffee where they would enjoy sharing a good joke between one another.
Keith truly had a heart of gold and made everyone around him feel special. Whether you needed some good advice, a good laugh, or just a listening ear he would always be there.
The family would like to thank the staff at Fir Park Village and Dr Fraser for taking such good care of him and keeping in communication while navigating the restrictions of the current pandemic. Keith will be remembered in so many ways, and the love we have for him lives on in each of our hearts.
