Kay passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Thursday, December 14, 2017 at North Island Hospital Comox Valley.
Kay will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 63 years, Mits; daughter Susan and sons Brian and James; and grandsons Ryan and Mitsuo. Kay also leaves behind her siblings Al, Carl, Art and Eileen.
Kay lived a rich, full life after growing up in the farming community of Raymond, AB. She resided in Toronto, Montreal, Germany and Winnipeg before settling in the Comox Valley.
She worked in Comox as a volunteer educational assistant at Comox Elementary School and eventually spent more than 10 years as a Ward Clerk at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Kay will always be fondly remembered for her sewing, needlework and knitting abilities not to mention her culinary and gardening skills.
