Katrinka "Kat" Adams

September 28, 1953 - August 4, 2019
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Kat, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, auntie, niece and great auntie. She leaves been loving daughters, Roberta Clarke (Jason), Tanya Jordan (Clay), and Trina Mingo. Grandson Mat Mingo, granddaughters Kristi Clarke (Alex), Sara Mingo, Erin Mingo and Trista Jordan.
She is survived by her mother Bessie Sand and her loving family which includes numerous sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins as well as many friends around the world.
She is predeceased by her soulmate Steve Jackson, brother Bob Adams and step-father George Sand.
Kat was born in Vancouver B.C. into a military family. At the tender age of 1, she travelled by ship to Baden, Germany, which set the precedent for her life of travel and adventures. Kat was a skilled hairdresser, her trade eventually led her to the Holland America cruise lines where she worked until her retirement.
Kat lived her life to its fullest as she sailed the seven seas and her journeys took her to every continent. Thru her travels she was able to see the world. Upon her passing her beautiful eyes were donated, and will make a difference in the lives of eight recipients.
Kats travels took her from the canals of England in her love boat a.k.a. "ALFREDOS DREAM", to her tropical paradise in Thailand. She had many passions in life and one in particular was, her exquisite cross stitching, which adorns every family members home. She filled her life with many activities, such as gardening, crosswords, puzzles and cards, her games prowess was well known. In addition, she was a scrabble genius, live theatre buff, movie binger and a poet extraordinaire.
Her positivity, generosity and kindness will be remembered as will her beautiful SMILE.
