Kay passed away on December 22, 2019 at the Comox Seniors Village.
Born in Glenavon, Saskatchewan on April 23, 1930 she is the youngest of 11 children. She moved to Vancouver in her early teens with her father where she worked for a time at The Vancouver Sun with her sister Ruth. She moved to Courtenay when she was 16 and attended Tsolum school. Married John June 14, 1950. Kay was an avid lawn bowler winning 7 medals in the BC Summer games: 4 gold, 1 silver, 2 bronze.
Predeceased by husband John (Jock) William Veitch and son Brent.
Survived by sons Randy and Jeff, daughter Sharon, 3 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
A service will be held at a later date.
