It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Margaret Davey, fondly known as "Kate", on January 4th 2019 in Campbell River BC. Kate was 85 years old.
Kate is survived by her loving husband Geoff of 62 years, her loving son Jim of Ontario, her devoted daughter Anne Davey and spouse Catherine Twomey of Campbell River as well as by her brother John Ball of Haliburton Ontario, and her brother Mike Ball of Burscough England and his wife Doris. Kate is also survived by her brother-in-law Ken Davey and his wife Eileen of England as well as by her sisters-in-law Margaret Caunce of England and June Davey of England.
Kate was born in the small village of Burscough in England. She and Geoff and their children moved to Canada in 1967. They first resided in Ontario, (Oshawa and Napanee) for 23 yrs. and before coming to Campbell River, in Clearwater BC for 19 wonderful years.
Kate was a long time canvasser for the Heart and Stroke Foundation as well as for The Cancer Society. She was a passionate knitter and many friends and family still are comforted by the warmth of her beautiful sweaters. She loved the outdoors. Kate and Geoff travelled thousands of miles in their motorhome and made new friends where ever they went. Her husband Geoff and her children will miss her terribly as will all her family and many friends.
Kate bravely and inspirationally fought a short battle with cancer. Rest in Peace our sweet Kate.

There will be a Celebration of Kate's life on January 20th at 11 am at Sutton's Funeral Home followed by a light lunch and gathering in the facilities there.
