1936-2020 ~ June Elizabeth Kubos (Robbins, Shandley, Nemeth) was born in Victoria, B.C. on June 1, 1936 and remained a true and 'island girl' all her life.
June is deeply missed by her entire family: sons Don and Doug (Norah), her daughter Barbara (Al) her grandchildren Morgan, Ryan, Victoria, Kathleen and Charlotte; her sisters, Edith, Pat and Peggy, her brother Bill, and her step-son Cyril (Laurie) and his children Jesse and Jennifer. In her words, her family was her greatest happiness.
June bravely battled many health issues, surgeries, cancers and finally, kidney failure. Her courage, determination and fighting spirit kept those who knew her constantly amazed, full of respect and admiration, and always inspired. To say she will be dearly missed by all who loved her is a huge understatement; and, absolutely true.
June's children would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Drs. Booth and Van der Weyde, and the wonderful team in the Nanaimo Palliative Care Unit.
