Jules passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 10, 2019.
He is predeceased by the love of his life, his wife Mary Lacroix (Lainton) and sister Adrienne Lacroix. Survived by his sister Theresa Stickle of Coombs and his four children, Rose-Ellen (Greg) Graham, Darlene (Harold) Pratt, Anna (Dave) Bambrough, James (Fran) Lacroix, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren plus many nieces and nephews.
Jules was born in Enderby, B.C., and spent his youth in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. He married and started his family. In 1964 Dad and Mom and family moved to Coombs, B.C. and he bought his farm and started raising rabbits and farming. Dad worked at a variety of jobs including bartending in Port Alberni, Nanaimo and the Rod and Gun in Parksville.
Jules was a proud husband, father, grandfather, uncle, friend and mentor. He was known for his generous spirit, love of his family, and his wonderful sense of humour. He will be dearly missed.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to Dr. Clair Biglow, Dr. Zeid Mohamedali, VIHA, and the Nanaimo General Hospital for the exceptional care of our dad.
Funeral services will be held at Church of The Ascension, 887 Wembley Rd., Parksville, BC at 11 am. November 30, 2019.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or BC Cancer Society.
