March 28, 2020
Henry, Judy passed away in Port Alberni on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at the age of 77. While it is with heavy hearts that we announce her passing, we celebrate the joy, humour and determination that marked her every day and every passing year.
Born in Powell River, she attended school and then pursued a career in Nursing. She was a dedicated nurse, working mostly in the community and she made an impact in the lives of many in that role. Judy had a profound and deep introduction to the reality of God and Jesus which drew her even deeper into a life of service. She was committed to her faith and drew on that through the difficulties and challenges she faced through the years.
She was predeceased by her parents, Clint and May, the father of her children Pat, and her son Michael. She is survived by son, Dean ( Gloria) and grandson Hilo, brother Doug (Karen ) and dear friend Lynn Burnip.
We would like to sincerely thank all of the devoted friends and staff of Community Care Services, Heritage Place and Fir Park Village for their gentle care and support. Judy was always appreciative of all you did.
Donations in Judy's memory may be made to the Parkinson's Society, 890 W Pender St #600, Vancouver, BC V6C 1J9 or to a charity of your choice.
A service may be held at a later date. Stories and condolences may be offered to the family at www.chapelofmemories.ca
