In Loving Memory
Jonathan Martin Lobb, 52, died July 6, 2022 in Nanaimo, BC, with family by his side.
Jonathan was born in Southampton, England in 1969 and was a loving son to his parents Roger and Jennifer Lobb. They immigrated to Ontario, Canada when Jonathan was 5 years old and he spent his school years primarily in London and Ancaster.
Jonathan studied Parks and Recreation in Lindsay Ontario before moving to British Columbia in 1994 to start his career and build a family with his long time partner and soon to be wife, Jennifer Cooper.
Jonathan worked for the Regional District of Nanaimo Parks Department for most of his career and enjoyed working with his coworkers and members of the public developing community parks. His love of nature and people combined to create the perfect career for him. Jonathan was a lover of nature, space, history, wood working, reading, and he loved the simple joys of being a dad and family life.
Jonathan always had time to stop and chat with people he met on his adventures and was always eager to hear about the life experience of others. He was caring and helpful and considerate of all those that he met.
Jonathan was a devoted father and leaves behind his children Sophia and Lucas Lobb who will cherish their wonderful memories of bedtime stories and exploring in nature with their dad. He was a loving brother to his sister Catherine Pleasance and a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He will be sadly missed by his extended family including his mother-in-law, and brothers and sisters-in-law and his many friends and coworkers.
We will dearly miss his easy, friendly nature, his always interesting "supper facts", and his protective and loving care for his family.
A celebration of life was held on August 21, 2022 and was attended by family and his many friends and coworkers.

can't be together, keep me in your heart.
I'll stay there forever."
