May 1, 1933 - August 4, 2020
Passed away peacefully in his home in Cedar By The Sea, where he lived with Bonnie, his wife of 61 years. Also survived by his daughter Heather, grandchildren Danielle (Jack), Elaine and Ian and great granddaughter Lily; brother Ted (Penny) and sister-in-law Ilene.
Stan grew up on the family farm in Togo SK. He began his career with T. H. Taylor in the hardware business, who he found to be a mentor and life long inspiration in his entire career as a hardware merchant. As a young man, he also spent 3 years working as a radio operator on the Mid Canada Radar Line, an experience that he often spoke fondly of. He then continued his hardware career owning and operating several stores in Western Canada, becoming very proficient in many trades. This led to many projects in retirement with the final one being a complete refurbishment of a 40' boat 'M.V. Togo', which is now being enjoyed by his family.
Stan was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and the Anglican Church.
Stan is pre-deceased by his parents Henrietta and Frances, his brother Pete (1998) and son- in-law Tom (2015).
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Stan's favourite charity which was established in honour of his son-in-law to assist in the training of paramedics.
