In loving memory ~

Ken passed away at home suddenly in the early hours of October 27, 2024 with family by his side. He was predeceased by his parents Adam and Edith Ozero, his sons Kevin and Douglas, and many aunts and uncles.

Ken was survived by his wife of 56 years Carol, by his daughter Tracy (Mick), and grandson David. He was also survived by great-grandchildren Landen, Addylin, and Jaxon. Ken was also survived by his brother Peter (Nancy) and nieces Erin (Rick) and Lesley (Derek).

Ken was born and raised in Victoria. He moved to Nanaimo when he worked at Black Ball Ferries to help train the ferry workers here. Later he worked at Harmac (Woodroom #3). He ran a flea market at the old bus depot (now Cameron Island). He was also owner/operator of car 6 at A.C Taxi. Ken was very involved with his community. He built Nanaimo Sports Field at Beban Park.

He enjoyed working with the youth of Nanaimo. He coached youth bowling and youth softball. He also started the soap box derby races. He started racing at a young age at VITRA (Victoria) and later at MIARA (Nanaimo). He became a starter at MIARA. Ken was also involved with the Bathtub Society. He raced in the first race and finished it. He was also involved in May Day celebrations and the parade. Ken loved classic cars. He had a 1952 chevy business coupe. It was a daily driver.

Ken will be missed by so many. He had a very special way of lighting up the room when he walked in.

We will miss him forever and a day.

We love you so much.
