John Blades passed away peacefully at home in his 81st year on July 20, 2022, after a long, and valiant battle with multiple health issues.
John leaves behind his beloved wife Alice; four children: Mike, Steve, Michael (SueAnn) and Tami (Ron); four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Tom and Annie, brother David, and son Stacey.
Born in England, John came to Canada in his 20's. John led a highly motivated life. Among many other accomplishments, John was a journeyman electrician, owned and operated a cable company and raced stock cars. He loved news, history, gardening, watching Formula 1 racing, working with tools, bird watching and collecting stamps.

A Private Memorial will be held at a later date.
