John (Jack) Cowley, of Vancouver, B.C. passed away, with family at his side, at the age of 97. He was predeceased by his wife Olive Irene Mary Cowley (2008). He will be missed by daughter Janice Cashin (Bert Badey), grandson Brian Cashin (Andrea) and great grandchildren, Connor, Declan and Tia Cashin all of the Comox Valley plus the many members of extended family.
John was born in Powell River BC the oldest of three (Jimmy Cowley and Virginia Calder) but after World War 11 graduated from the UBC Law School in 1950. He was a Solicitor for the City of Vancouver until retirement in 1982.
At age 95, after 55 years in his Vancouver home, John entered Crofton Manor in Vancouver after a serious illness. He received excellent care until his passing from heart issues. Special thanks to his caregivers who became family over the two years.
No service will be held but a family and extended family gathering will be held at a later date in Comox.
