Born August 12, 1933 slipped away in his sleep on June 30, 2019.
Predeceased by his parents Adam and Eve Bolen, his brothers Lawrence, Norman and Lou and Grandson Greg. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Mary of 66 years, sister Margaret, daughter Beverley and his grandchildren; Angela (Brian), Jennifer and Jeff (Angela) and nine great grandchildren.
John served in the military from November 2, 1951 to November 2, 1979; the Coast Guard from approximately 1981 to 1989 as a cook. He also worked as a Commissionaire at the Esquimalt Base for five years. John loved gardening and always had the most beautiful flowers.
