In loving memory ~
It is with heavy hearts the family of John & Johanna (Anne) Newfield announces their passing.
Johanna went to be with her Lord & Savior on August 21 and John joined his beloved wife on November 18, 2022
Johanna was one of six children while John came from a family of 10 children.
They met in Port Alberni and married on September 16, 1950 and enjoyed nearly 72 years together. They started and worked in their own business J.S. Trucking Ltd. for well over fifty years.
They both loved their camping trips, travelling to Manitoba for family reunions in their 5th wheel, hunting & fishing. But one of their biggest hobbies was Dad in his vegetable garden and mom in her flower garden, which she seemed to think should be allowed to spill over into the vegetables, much to Dad's dismay.
They were predeceased by their sons Kenneth and Richard.
They will be greatly missed by their children Katherine Roberts (Jim), Wayne Newfield (Roseann), Sandra Dixon (Lorne), Barbara Giesbrecht (Bruce) as well as their 12 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
A private family celebration of life has taken place.
The family is thankful for the love and support received from the staff at Echo Village.
