September 12, 1961 - March 23, 2021
After a long journey fought with determination and grace, Joanne passed away peacefully at the home she loved. Kevin, her husband of 29 years, was by her side at the end and every step of the way.
Family and friends meant the world to Joanne and she was grateful to be able to spend her last few weeks with her loved ones. Husband Kevin Hunt, parents: Ben and Donna Mae Braun, Sisters: Lorelei (Dave) Peters, Leslie (Mark) Rhodes, Nieces: Danielle (Jay) Huntley, Ashley (Jason) Brownlee, Tara (Jordan) Reed, Nephews: Cory (Olivia) Bigham, Wyatt Matheson.
Born in Beechy SK. Joanne moved to Vancouver Island, with her family in 1975. She met Kevin playing softball in Whistler in 1992. They relocated to Comox in 1995.
Through out her career she worked in all facets of business administration, including the last several years in the accounting department of Crown Isle. Some of her pastimes included golf, travel, and enjoying her house and yard. Joanne was very particular and everything she did was completed to the best of her ability. Joanne was so easy to just be with. She will be missed terribly, but she no longer has to fight and can finally be at peace.
