It is with sadness that the family announce the passing of Joan, surrounded by her loving family; October 18, 2018 at Ty Watson House, Port Alberni.
Joan was predeceased by her parents Doug & Dora Manthorne, her brother Walter Manthorne and is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Robert, her daughters Wendy (Mike) Voysey and Tracey (Ian) Koch.
She was born November 2, 1939 & raised in Milton, Nova Scotia and moved to Port Alberni in 1966. Joan had a love for crafts, sewing & knitting; she was a member of the Sunshine Club and a volunteer for Echo/Fir Park Village Auxiliaries.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, November 18, 2018 - Legion Branch # 293, from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joan's memory to Ty Watson House, Port Alberni.
