"The song has ended, but the melody lingers on..."-Irving Berlin.
Jerry was born in Moncton, New Brunswick. He spent most of his early youth in Quebec. It is here he met his wife-to-be Jeannette Smith. Jerry and Jeannette were married in Quebec City, eventually making their way out to Vancouver Island. Jerry had several occupations before establishing his own business, Jerry's Home Roofing, working mainly in District 69. In the last years Jerry was active in his community through his volunteer work with the Clothing Corner held at the Lighthouse Community Center.
Jerry will be greatly missed by his wife, Jeannette; his siblings Louis (Marianne), Nita (Jean Pierre), Marthe (Werner), Rick (Jaime); his sons Paul-David (Joyce); Ray (Melissa), John (Shanthi), Sam, and Mike (Becca) as well as his son-in-law Paul and his wife Rhoda who has been a loving mother to grandchildren Cody and AJ since Jerry's daughter Anne Marie went Home, all who loved him well. Jerry is also survived by his well-loved grandchildren; Lewis (Alyssa), Rhoda (Ernest), Warren, Jolianne, Emily, Elise, Taiya, Kai, Riley, Ryland and Eli. Everett, his great-grandson, never had the opportunity to know his Great Grandfather.
A celebration of Jerry's life will be held at a later date.
